September 21st, 2012

Global Chinese Financial Forum (GCFF) is pleased to announce that Wealth Management and Investing Strategies, Toronto 2012 has come to a successful conclusion. With the participation of investment celebrities and topics that cater directly to the needs of local Chinese investors, the conference featured more than a dozen firms targeting high net worth Chinese investors.

One of the most anticipated highlights was Mr. Cho Yan Chiu's presentation. Nicknamed "Warren Buffett of Hong Kong" by the Chinese investment community, Mr. Cho discussed the Hong Kong and American equity market while providing projections for fourth quarter investment trends. Receiving numerous enquiries and phone calls in the days leading up to the speech, the speaking hall was so full that although many attendees had to stand throughout the entire one-hour speech, they nevertheless paid keen attention. This was followed by an autograph session, where we saw hundreds gathered for a personal interaction with Mr. Cho.

As well, Global Chinese Financial Forum featured a dozen speeches and presentations with topics ranging from investment strategies to company profiles of our feature public firms. With retail investors in mind, Henry Tse of iBrokerPower Capital Inc. shed light on Warren Buffett's investment strategies while Steve from Disnat delved into bargain-hunting through traditional fundamental analysis as we provided translation into Mandarin Chinese.

GCFF Vancouver 2012 Conference

Jun 10th, 2012

Global Chinese Financial Forum (GCFF) is pleased to announce that Wealth Management and Investing Strategies, Vancouver 2012 has drawn to a successful conclusion! With the participation of investment celebrities and a main topic that reflects the authentic needs of local investors, the conference attracted over 1800 attendees – an unprecedented number in our history of Vancouver events.

The most distinctive highlight of the event, no doubt, was the presence of Hong Kong "stock guru" Cho Yan Chiu, who was nicknamed "Sir Cho" within the Chinese investment community. Mr. Cho discussed the influence of the current European debt crisis, which he believes would continue way into the future. Nevertheless, Mr. Cho rejected the notion that Greece would withdraw from the Eurozone, due to the fact that such a development is likely to trigger a chain reaction, ultimately suppressing the economies of Spain and Italy. When asked about the Canadian economy, Mr. Cho stated that Canada offers a beacon of opportunities for the Chinese investors.

Mr. Cho's reputation attracted large crowds of audiences, to an extent beyond our expectation. Empty spots were quickly filled in the speaking hall, and many attendees stood through the entire one-hour speech, with great enthusiasm. On sale during the conference, Mr. Cho's book went out fast as well. In the afternoon autograph session, hundreds of participants lined up for a face-to-face interaction with Mr. Cho.

Besides the speech by Cho Yan-Chiu, the conference featured 15 speeches, presentations and tutorial, with lengths ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The sessions covered investment strategies, product promotion and presentation from public companies. An example of the sessions is the highly-popular stock trading tutorial by Mr. Tyler Bullhorn, the founder of Stockscore.com. Specialized in online trading, Mr. Bullhorn offered a real-time online demonstration of his trading techniques. Focused on the practical aspect of investment know-how, the demonstration was extremely well-received among audiences.

In response to an increasing population of Korean investors and their wealth management needs, Vancouver 2012 Conference for the first time featured a full-scale Korean Chapter, which consisted of 7 speeches covering variety hot topics in wealth management and investment. The chapter was attended by over 100 Korean investors from local area, and received positive feedbacks. Also recognized by various institutions, the chapter opened with a speech by Choi Yeon-Ho, the Korean Consulate General to Vancouver.

Based on the great success on GCFF Vancouver 2012 – Wealth Management & Investing Strategies, our team continue to roll out another wealth management-themed conference in Toronto on Sept. 23rd. Mr. Cho Yan-Chiu will be present at GCFF again, and bring his insights to our Toronto investor friends. Please stay tuned for more information in the coming month.
